Milo sang a few songs on Sunday, the boy can sing! It's a pity he doesn't do it more often. God bless Ireland Posted by Picasa

Whats Eamonn laughing at?...Find out in the next pic... Posted by Picasa
Milo was doing some joke involving breathing through a bag I think, so he demonstrated with Eamonns tobacco, suffice to say it went up his nose, in his teeth, and his eyes. Bloody arsh, but it was a great laugh for us! Posted by Picasa
I went out to record a few songs yesterday in Helges, here's the setup and a scared looking Helge Posted by Picasa

Last night, at Andy Irvine

So Sean got called to do sound for none other than Andy Irvine, of Planxty/Sweeneys Men/Mozaik/Patrick Street fame.

He in turn phoned Helge to go with him.

I, hearing this, invited myself as the lads roadie, backround music and stage seating guy. (Titles self ordained)

But it was worth it.
Andy was great. A living legend.
Here's some photos explaining his instruments (Boring to most I'm sure!)
I like this photo. Probably because I couldn't do it again if I tried a hundred times. Somehow the camera took a steady shot of all the dark images and stretched the bright ones... Posted by Picasa
This instrument is halfway between a mandolin and a mandola. Would that make it a mandolan! Posted by Picasa
This one is a bass bouzouki. The depth of the sound on it was amzing, even with the cappo half way up the fretboard. Good man yerself AndyPosted by Picasa
Alhough this one looks like a guitar, it's not. It's a guitar shaped bouzouki. Why? - Sound, my dear boy. Sound. Posted by Picasa

Hmmmmmm....

I seem to be having awful trouble getting images up on this site now.
Perhaps it's because I've reached my limit for this year in the last few days!
Who knows, I'll get working on it...
Maybe after a few hours of Guinness and song...
Although I probably won't care as much then...
We'll see sure...

The Engagement

Before we went to Spain, we had Nellie and CC's surprise engagement party. Twas organised by the girls, and they did a fine job of it!
It's only after putting up all these engagement photos that I realise just how few have the couple in them! Ah well, here goes! Posted by Picasa
